Syracuse Stage's 2012 Open House


Saturday, September 29, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Join us for a day of free food and fun! Festivities will include guided Backstage Tours, free performances of the annual Bank of America Children's Show A Thousand Cranes, ticket raffles, a presentation by SU's Department of Drama, and complimentary food throughout the day. All events will be free, open to the public and appropriate for families of all ages.

Backstage Tours

(Tours are approx. 30-minutes each)

 

 

 

See where the magic happens! A guided tour of backstage areas - scene shop, costume shop, props shop & rehearsal halls. Tours will run every 10 minutes as needed. To join a tour, gather in the Storch Theatre lobby at Syracuse Stage.

Free performance of A Thousand Cranes, the Bank of America Children's Tour

(45 minutes)

 

 

A Thousand Cranes is the moving true story about the effects of war on the life a 12-year-old Japanese girl named Sadako, and how, through her spirit of hope and determination, she be­came an inspiration for generations to come. With an eye toward the future, this year’s production of A Thousand Cranes will incorporate recent events in Japan and connect them to the spir­it of Sadako and her message of hope. Recommended for all ages. Performed in the Archbold Theatre. Free tickets available at the Open House welcome table.
