National Playwriting competition for students grades 6 – 8

Regional host: Syracuse Stage, accepting two entries per school for consideration in national contest.
Plays should be 10 minutes and address the theme "Rise Up: Fighting for Love and Inclusion in the Face of Bigotry".

Word to the World: Young Playwrights for Change National Competition

Open to students in grades 6 through 8, we are looking for your school’s top two ten page plays to attend playwriting workshops with Syracuse Stage.
The regional winner will move on to the national competition and have their play performed at the Syracuse Stage Young Playwrights Festival on May 1, 2018.

PLAYS DUE: November 14, 2017

Workshops will take place at Syracuse Stage on November 18th starting at 9:30am and December 2nd in the afternoon.
