Community Conversations Series

Welcome to Syracuse Stage's Community Conversations Series, a place where we can come together and discuss topics directly impacting our neighborhoods and how theatre has the power to help foster change in ourselves, our community, and our world.

Community Conversations will be virtual through Zoom. Zoom links will be posted the day of the event and recordings of previous conversations will be available to watch on your own time.

Arts Online: Strategies of Teaching Theatre through Zoom

Friday, August 14, 5PM on Zoom

Meet our Education Team and be a part of the conversation as we look at strategies for teachers, parents, and students involved in arts education and creative performances/exhibits. We will share resources about teaching arts programming online and lessons learned from successfully hosting a two-week, entirely online summer theatre program for middle school students.

Topics for consideration:

- After school arts programming
- Staging a Zoom performance
- Zoom exhibits
- Playwriting workshops
- Live vs. recorded
- Zoom bandwidth
