SYRACUSE STAGE’S 50th ANNIVERSARY
FIFTY YEARS. Five decades. A half-century. The golden anniversary. However it is said, the 2023 – 2024 season marks a significant milestone for Syracuse Stage. Since 1974, Syracuse Stage has continuously produced (Covid included) world class, professional theatre right here at the corner of East Genesee Street and Irving Avenue. As a not-for-profit professional company in residence at Syracuse University, the theatre has also been integral to the success of the Department of Drama and a valuable resource for area elementary and high schools and community organizations. Five artistic leaders—Arthur Storch, Tazewell Thompson, Robert Moss, Tim Bond, and Robert Hupp—have guided the company through fifty years of wide-ranging theatrical experiences, all for the enjoyment and enrichment of the Central New York Community.

In honor of the 50th anniversary season, Jim Clark joins host Melissa Crespo to talk about his leadership tenure at Syracuse Stage.
